Skull in Caravan

I recently went to visit friends in the country. We went for a walk and I found a skull in an abandoned caravan. Apparently the property is owned by a well known Melbourne writer whose name I can’t remember. The land is for sale. It sits at the top of a hill with lovely views of the central Victorian countryside. P and I daydreamed about buying it but the reality of the dangers of being at the top of a hill in a bushfire zone put a pall over the idea. Sad that a view can be tainted in that way…

Melbourne morning, on my way to work.

I spend a lot of time on Melbourne’s trains travelling to and from work; two and a half hours every week day. If not for work I wouldn’t easily get up so early but then I would miss the sights and sounds of Melbourne waking up. Although the journey takes up a large chunk of my day I never tire of the beautiful lighting. This shot has a Photoshop filter, Fresco, applied.

Life in a bubble

Life is always interesting living with the twins and my darling mad genius husband, the on-line reverend of the church of the Tetherd Cow (see Blogs I Like). He bought some bubble mix and a giant bubble making wand for some family fun and (as is his way) began to research and trial the making of the perfect bubble mix… Along the way discovering all sorts of  interesting secret ingredients. Here’s the latest trial but you would have to torture the Rev for his recipe…
